About The Position

The Contracts team is seeking an early-career Closeout Analyst to support the closeout of procurement actions and client contracts, including Federal Government agreements. This role plays a key part in ensuring financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, and timely contract completion through detailed reconciliation and analysis. In this position, you’ll independently support the closeout lifecycle—from procurement activity through final invoicing—while partnering with internal stakeholders and external vendors. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build expertise in contracting, government compliance (FAR/GAAP), and financial operations in a mission-driven environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 2 years of relevant experience (government preferred)
  • Knowledge of FAR, accounting, revenue recognition
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to priorities
  • Must be eligible to obtain a U.S. security clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with government contract reconciliations
  • Familiarity with WAWF or similar systems
  • Knowledge of Uniform Commercial Code

Responsibilities

  • Execute closeout of Federal Government and commercial contracts, including rate-based and firm fixed price agreements
  • Perform financial reviews, including desk audits of contract costs and billings
  • Analyze unbilled activity and ensure compliance with GAAP, FAR, and contractual requirements
  • Identify discrepancies and reconcile financial data
  • Prepare and submit final invoices and closeout packages
  • Apply indirect rate adjustments
  • Initiate batch closings for P-Card and purchase orders
  • Work with vendors to collect subcontract closeout documentation
  • Verify documentation against financial records
  • Track compliance elements (property, patents, small business, etc.)
  • Maintain procurement records
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather documentation
  • Complete client-specific closeout forms
  • Respond to documentation requests
  • Coordinate with Records Management Office
  • Maintain records per procedures
