CLO Trust Reporting Analyst
About The Position
U.S. Bank Global Corporate Trust Services is a leading provider of corporate trust services worldwide, offering trustee, agency, escrow, document custody, and money market issuing services through a network of domestic and international offices. The Collateralized Debt Obligation (CDO) and Global Structured Finance (GSF) groups within U.S. Bank Global Corporate Trust Services specialize in structured finance vehicles that issue debt and equity liabilities. These proceeds are used to acquire diverse collateral portfolios, including syndicated bank loans, corporate bonds, ABS, MBS, CMBS, and mezzanine debt. The Trust Reporting function is integral to these services, involving the interpretation of deal documents, establishment of cash flow priorities, collection of asset activity data, reporting to bondholders, and tax reporting when necessary.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, accounting or related field, or equivalent work experience
- Less than two years of relevant work experience
- Proficient computer navigation skills using a variety of software packages including Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to comply with U.S. Bank policies and procedures including the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct and related workplace conduct and safety policies.

- Basic understanding of syndicated bank loans, fixed income securities, securitization, trading or mutual funds
- Ability to identify and resolve exceptions and to interpret data
- Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to perform multiple tasks and meet established deadlines in a dynamic working environment with minimal supervision
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret trust indentures with regard to reporting requirements.
- Create technical report specifications from indenture language.
- Set up payment calculations in a variety of in-house systems.
- Receive, map and reconcile periodic collateral data.
- Make tax elections, file for EIN’s, and track residual holder transfers as required.
- Perform portfolio compliance tests on a selection of structured fixed income deals (trade testing).
- Compile monthly, quarterly and annual payment and/or tax reports.
- Coordinate with operations teams to ensure correct payments are received and made.
- Perform quality control review of reports, meeting timeliness and accuracy standards.
- Frequent interaction with asset managers, investors, auditors and rating agencies.
