The Clinician is responsible for assessment, treatment, development and implementation of student therapeutic plans. This role involves conducting intake interviews, assessing student and family needs, preparing goal-oriented diagnostic assessments, service plans, and progress reports. The Clinician will facilitate student groups on social and behavioral issues, provide information to students and families regarding community resources, and offer case consultations and one-on-one counseling or crisis intervention. Additionally, the role requires attending weekly staffing meetings with the treatment team to review student progress and program compliance, ensuring proper documentation of therapeutic plans and services, and maintaining communication with Parole/Probation Officers and community caseworkers. The Clinician will also record student status reports in a timely manner, participate in conflict resolution sessions, provide quality assurance support and supervision, conduct staff trainings as needed, and serve as a role model for appropriate methods of verbal de-escalation. The ability to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned is also important.
