About The Position

Join our team and support the Lawrence CJSC in supporting justice involved individuals, to reduce the likelihood of recidivism.

Requirements

  • Casework services consistent with OCC policies.
  • Maintain participant files with intake materials.
  • Utilize assessment tools (e.g. LS/RNR, TCUDS) for intake assessments.
  • Assess risks/responsivity needs.
  • Develop treatment plans for participants.
  • Monthly review of treatment plans and transition goals.
  • Provide feedback to participants.
  • Referrals to outside agencies.
  • Case management of community-based services.
  • Regular check-ins with participants.
  • Document participant interactions.
  • Assign and track completion of Client Behavioral Interventions (CBI’s).
  • Create after care/discharge plans.
  • Facilitate CBT manualized groups to fidelity.
  • Conduct group audits.
  • Utilize technology for programming (virtual/hybrid models).
  • Update participant data in CIMS.
  • Transport or conduct drug testing on participants.
  • Participate in meetings and trainings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all casework services are consistent with the operating policies of the Office of Community Corrections (OCC) and other regulatory agencies.
  • Ensure that participant documents such as a copy of all intake materials are placed in participant files including those provided by supervising agencies (e.g., Probation, Parole, and Sheriff’s Department).
  • Complete intake assessments utilizing assessment tools (e.g. LS/RNR, TCUDS, etc.); assess risks/responsivity needs; and develop treatment plans for each assigned participant.
  • Ensure that treatment plans and goals for transition are completed and reviewed on a monthly basis. Provide feedback to participants.
  • Make necessary referrals to outside agencies or departments as needed. Case manage community based-services.
  • Complete regular check-ins with participants.
  • Document participant interaction (i.e., client notes) as needed.
  • Assign and track completion of Client Behavioral Interventions (CBI’s) as needed.
  • Create an after care/discharge plan for each assigned participant.
  • Facilitate CBT manualized groups to fidelity. Submit to/conduct group audits.
  • Utilize technology for programming needs (i.e., virtual meetings/groups or hybrid models).
  • Keep participant data and information updated in the system (Client Information Management System or CIMS).
  • Transport or conduct drug testing on participants upon staffing deficiencies.
  • Participate in all meetings and trainings as requested by the supervisor(s).
  • Perform other duties as assigned or directed by the supervisor(s).
  • Collection and documentation of urine screens as needed.
