South County Academy serves adolescent females ages 13–18 with complex educational, behavioral, and therapeutic needs. Our students live on campus and often come to us following previous placements through DCYF. They benefit from a highly structured, trauma-informed environment focused on healing, growth, and individualized support. The Clinician works collaboratively with the management team to ensure safety, stability and wellness of students in our care that have been placed through the Department of Children, Youth and Families. Responsible for providing diagnostic assessments and individual, group, and family counseling services for students. Collaborates on cases with behavioral specialists, teachers and other service providers to ensure appropriate delivery of services to youth and families. Provides emergency crisis intervention/assessment as needed and supports direct service staff in the implementation of evidence-based treatments such as Trauma Systems Therapy (TST) throughout the milieu.
