About The Position

Liberty Healthcare is seeking Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFT) for a PRN/as needed Clinician position within its forensic mental health program. This program is located onsite at the Maguire Correctional Facility, a San Mateo County jail in Redwood City, CA, and exclusively serves adults who are justice-involved, experiencing mental illness, and have been determined to be incompetent to stand trial. The program's objective is to provide early access to mental health services, rapid stabilization, and efficient competency restoration.

Requirements

• LCSW or LMFT license
• Ability to provide services one-to-one, in-person, and onsite at the facility
• Experience conducting Psychosocial and risk assessments
• Experience providing brief treatment focused on symptom management, psychoeducation, and crisis intervention
• Experience supporting clients with competency restoration training and education
• Proficiency in documenting services and client status in an electronic health record system
• Ability to participate in treatment team and other meetings
• Skill in collaborating with clinical, ancillary, and security staff

Nice To Haves

• Recently licensed clinicians will be paid $50.00 per hour
• Higher hourly pay rates are available for clinicians who are more experienced

Responsibilities

Benefits

• As needed position offering occasional work in times of peak program utilization and when coverage is needed for staff who are on vacation or other leave.
