About The Position

Victor Community Support Services is seeking a dedicated mental health professional to join their team as a Clinician. This role focuses on delivering trauma-informed, family-centered care to transform the lives of youth and families. As a Clinician, you will guide clients toward resilience and emotional well-being through therapeutic interventions. The company offers clinical supervision, a collaborative team environment, and a shared purpose of helping others. The Clinician is responsible for establishing and implementing quality clinical treatment and case management for children and adolescents with special mental health needs. Services include individual, group, and family therapy, as well as rehabilitative services and case management in settings most beneficial to the client. The role also requires completing all necessary documentation and written reports.

Requirements

  • Completion of a clinical program with a Master's or Ph.D. degree in a field of behavioral science from an accredited educational institution.
  • Holds a current license registration issued by the Board of Behavioral Sciences (AMFT, ACSW, APCC, LMFT, LCSW, LPCC)
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish required.
  • Must possess a valid California driver's license, personal automobile insurance and driving record that meets the standards outlined in the Agency's Personnel Policy: Motor Vehicle Operating Standards.
  • Must be physically and mentally fit in accordance with the Agency's Personnel Policy: Physical Fitness Standards and Examinations.
  • Must be willing to complete a Tuberculosis (TB), and drug screening test.
  • Must be willing to complete a personal background investigation conducted by the State of California.
  • Must obtain and maintain CPR and First Aid Certification (only when required by local county or program).
  • Must be flexible to work a varying schedule according to operational needs.
  • Must be willing to work within a culturally integrated workplace, and be willing to respect human differences based upon protected classes as defined by state, federal and local laws, or any other condition that distinguishes people from one another.

Responsibilities

  • Provides comprehensive mental health assessments on assigned clients to determine the need for mental health services.
  • Develops treatment plans and goals based on assessed areas of needs and strengths identified in the assessment.
  • Monitors and evaluates client's progress on identified goals in the treatment plan.
  • Completes all required documentation in a timely manner for each assigned client and maintains a comprehensive set of treatment records as stipulated in the County Mental Health Plan (MHP) or other agencies responsible for program oversight.
  • Acts as the liaison between the program and family/community agencies including individuals such as Parents/Caregivers, Case Managers, County Social Workers, Teachers/Education Providers, and Probation Officers.
  • Works with the family or care providers in the implementation of treatment plans and maintains contacts with all important individuals in the client's life.
  • Provides individual, family, and group counseling based on the needs of the clients served.
  • Meets Agency service percentage standard reflecting expected time spent with clients, if applicable.
  • Completes other assigned program operational tasks in accordance with supervisory directives.
