About The Position

Liberty Healthcare is seeking applications for a full-time Clinician position within its forensic mental health program, which serves San Diego County jail inmates with mental illness who are incompetent to stand trial. The program's objective is to deliver rapid mental health services to improve behavioral health outcomes and restore competency as quickly as possible by facilitating early access to services and eliminating treatment barriers. Services are provided to inmates onsite at various San Diego County jail facilities.

Responsibilities

• Providing mental health services to program clients one-to-one and in-person
• Performing psychosocial evaluations
• Providing cognitive-behavioral treatment, psychoeducation and crisis intervention
• Documenting treatment and client progress
• Participating in clinical team meetings
• Taking a leadership role in individual treatment team planning
• Consulting and collaborating with clinical, ancillary and security staff
• Helping to ensure program clients receive high quality mental health services
