About The Position

Jewish Family & Career Services of Atlanta (JF&CS) is seeking a licensed clinician to provide high-quality mental health services to children, families, parents/caregivers, and a range of agency clients within the community. This role is ideal for a compassionate, adaptable professional who is passionate about supporting individuals and families through evidence-based care across a variety of service settings. The clinician will utilize varied treatment modalities and provide services in community locations, including but not limited to the Dunwoody office, while supporting emotional well-being, skill development, and access to care.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related behavioral health field
• Fully licensed (LPC, LCSW, LMFT) or license eligible in Georgia (APC, LMSW, AMFT)
• Experience working with children and families, including special needs children, marital conflict, and major mental illness
• Experience conducting clinical assessments, psychotherapy, and care coordination
• Willingness to work with managed care referrals
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
• Ability to use Microsoft Word and learn electronic medical record systems
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and ability to meet deadlines
• Reliable transportation for travel to community-based service locations

Nice To Haves

• Experience conducting workshops and comfort with public speaking assignments preferred
• Play therapy experience and/or DBT intensive training preferred
• Knowledgeable about Judaism and Jewish families preferred

Responsibilities

• Conduct clinical assessments through clinical interviews and standardized measures
• Determine appropriate diagnoses and treatment plans based on client needs, culture, home environment, and preferred therapeutic interventions
• Provide evidence-based psychotherapy, including individual, family, and group therapy services
• Provide psycho-educational and skill-building programming within the community
• Conduct crisis, suicide, and homicide risk assessments and interventions, and assist with emergency support as needed
• Engage in active outreach with school/college staff, parents/caregivers, and community resources
• Facilitate referrals to community resources as needed
• Complete clinical notes and required documentation in a timely manner, including visit notes within 72 business hours
• Maintain a caseload of approximately 15 clinical sessions/hours per week while working approximately 21 total hours per week
• Maintain an independent schedule to meet client demand, including late afternoon and evening hours as needed
• Attend required meetings, including supervision, group consultation, and team meetings
• Other duties as assigned
