About The Position

The P/T Clinician is responsible for evaluating and directing the care and supervision of residents in the Hope Harbor DMC Drug Medi-Cal Program. This role involves assisting in the development and finalization of ASAM assessments and Medical necessity notes, as well as contributing to the development of clinical treatment planning protocols. The position also requires managing preliminary authorizations requests, processing client requests for authorization, and ensuring all required progress notes and confidentiality agreements are completed within the SAGE-PCNX software system. The Clinician will also perform other duties as assigned by the Program Director and Clinical Supervisor.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work or related field and registered with BBS.
  • At least 2 years’ experience as a mental health professional serving the homeless population.
  • Must have a valid drivers’ license.
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
  • Knowledge of DMC/SAPC regulations and requirements.
  • Knowledge of and ability to comply with applicable law and regulations, including community care licensing regulations that apply to Residential Care Facilities for the Chronically Ill and Supportive Housing Program policies and procedures.
  • Ability to maintain or supervise the maintenance of client records.
  • Ability to direct the work of others.
  • Ability to recruit, hire, train, and evaluate qualified staff.
  • CPR/First Aid Certification

Nice To Haves

  • Licensed Clinical Counselor strongly preferred or be able to complete licensure.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
  • Previous management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and finalizing ASAM assessments and Medical necessity notes.
  • Assist in developing the clinical treatment planning protocols.
  • Update and maintain preliminary authorizations requests roster.
  • Review, prepare, organize, and submit clients’ requests for authorization, if denied, make corrections and resubmit them to SAPC in the SAGE-PCNX software system, and follow up.
  • Complete all required progress notes, confidentiality agreement, and other necessary paperwork in the SAGE-PCNX software system.
  • All other duties assigned by Program Director and Clinical Supervisor.
