About The Position

Devereux is a leading nonprofit organization in behavioral healthcare, operating a national network of programs that impact over 10,000 children, adults, and their families annually. As a Clinician, you will provide individual, family, and group therapy services to Therapeutic Foster Care (TFC) Individuals. This role involves working with treatment foster parents and the individual's family to achieve treatment plan goals. You will participate as an active member of the individual's treatment team, contributing to assessment, treatment planning, progress review, and discharge planning. The Clinician will advocate for the needs of TFC Individuals and Treatment Foster Parents through effective communication within Child and Family Teams and with internal/external team members. This position also supports program development through recruitment and retention activities and participates in program and department meetings. Clinicians must demonstrate knowledge of behavioral disorders, service/treatment plans, clinical assessments, and intervention strategies to support TFC Individuals and Treatment Foster Parents in skill acquisition and problem behavior reduction. You will apply Devereux's treatment models effectively and with fidelity.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a master’s degree with one of the following New Mexico licenses: Licensed master social worker (LMSW), licensed professional mental health counselor (LPC), licensed art therapist (LAT), or licensed mental health counselor (LMHC)
  • Must be 21 years of age or older (per licensing standards)
  • Valid New Mexico Driver's License & pass DMV 36-month history check
  • Pre-employment Physical and Job Demand Assessment (if applicable)
  • Drug test within 24hrs of offer w/ negative results
  • Ability to attend full time New Hire Orientation Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm (paid)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of behavioral disorders, service/treatment plans, clinical assessments and behavioral/clinical interventions and strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinically appropriate individual, family and group therapy services to Therapeutic Foster Care (TFC) Individuals.
  • Involve Treatment Foster Parents and the TFC Individual’s own family as appropriate to achieve the goals of the treatment plan.
  • Participate as an active member of the individual’s treatment team, involved in assessment, treatment planning, treatment, review of treatment progress, and discharge planning for TFC Individuals.
  • Advocate for TFC Individuals’ needs and Treatment Foster Parent family needs via effective communication skills within CFT meetings and communications with internal and external team members.
  • Assist with program development through engagement in recruitment and retention activities.
  • Participate in program and department meetings as scheduled.
  • Provide intervention and support to TFC Individuals and Treatment Foster Parents with the goal of skill acquisition and problem behavior reduction.
  • Schedule and provide individual, family and/or group psychotherapy as indicated in the treatment plan.
  • Apply Devereux’s treatment models effectively and with fidelity.
