The Center for Human Development (CHD) is seeking a Clinician for our Community Adolescent Treatment Program (CATP) in Springfield, MA. The Clinician will work in a short-term, secure residential treatment program for adolescent males and will provide psycho-social assessments, crisis management and comprehensive treatment plans, for newly committed youth to the DYS system. The Clinician will conduct individual and group counseling sessions along with running DBT and substance abuse groups. The Clinician will maintain their own case records and complete reports as needed. Clinicians will provide clinical consultation and leadership for paraprofessional direct care staff. Additionally, the clinician will interact with outside agencies and advocate for and coordinate needed services. Scheduled hours will include (2) 11am – 7pm shifts and (1) weekend day shift. The Clinician’s position is a contract-supported position and does not require a fee for service, productivity expectation. Your role as a Master’s Level Licensed or License Eligible Clinician: Interact with staff and residents. Ensure the coordinated efforts of all treatment components. Ensure program compliance with documentation and other clinically related licensing requirement. Support the philosophy of the agency and the program in all interactions with staff, residents, parents, and outside agencies. Establish and maintain an effective working relationship with other clinicians, state agencies, DYS, community health and other referral agencies.
