About The Position

Alaska Behavioral Health (AKBH) is seeking a Clinician II or Senior Licensed Clinician for their Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) in Wasilla. This clinic provides a wide range of services including crisis services, treatment planning, screening, assessment, diagnosis, risk assessment, outpatient mental health and co-occurring substance use services, targeted case management, outpatient primary care, community-based mental health care for veterans, and peer and family supports. The populations served include children, families, transition-age youth, adults, and military veterans.

Requirements

  • Master or doctoral degree in Social Work, Psychology, or another relevant field.
  • Licensed Clinician (LPC, LMFT, LCSW required).
  • Earned Doctorate (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from a regionally accredited university and an APA accredited program, or a Master’s degree in social work and licensed to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW); or a Master’s degree in counseling and licensed to practice as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC); or a Master’s degree in marriage and family therapy and licensed to practice as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
  • Experience working with SED clients.
  • Experience with providing trauma-informed care.
  • 7-10 years clinical experience providing direct services as a psychotherapist.
  • At least two years providing clinical supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Work on a multidisciplinary team to provide assessment, treatment planning, individual, family and group therapy, crisis intervention, and other services driven client need.
  • Evaluate crisis situations promptly and provide necessary services.
  • Provide therapeutic services to children, adolescents, families and adults.
  • Participate in regular individual and group supervision.
  • Provide behavioral health services using evidence-based practices.
  • Potentially develop skills in clinical supervision with interns or bachelor’s level staff.
  • Provide Clinical Supervision for unlicensed providers, interns and bachelor’s level staff.
