Planned Parenthood of Greater Ohio is seeking mission-minded Associates to join us as full-time (37.5 per week) Clinicians to serve our patients in our Northeast Ohio Region. This role is responsible for implementing overall quality assurance activities, assessing, planning, and administering health care that is individualized to the client and consistent with the policies and protocols of Planned Parenthood of Greater Ohio. The Clinician will be responsible for the assessment, plan, examination, and treatment for all services provided at the center for which the clinician is trained and privileged. This includes reviewing and interpreting medical and social history, performing appropriate medical screening procedures/exams, interpreting laboratory data, ordering additional laboratory investigations when indicated, and ensuring appropriate follow-up. The role also involves providing various contraceptive methods, training for device insertion and removal, providing emergency contraception, performing medical assessment and management of basic STI and genito-urinary conditions, providing perimenopausal and menopausal services, counseling pregnant women on all pregnancy outcome options, and providing pre and post-abortion care. Additionally, the Clinician will act as a medical consultant to clinic staff, manage emergency situations, ensure compliance with OSHA, CLIA, and State Board of Pharmacy procedures, policies, and regulations, and participate in staff meetings and training related to reproductive health. Maintaining CPR per PPFA standards and participating in the revenue cycle through knowledge of charge capture, pricing, health information management, clinical documentation, coding, and third-party reimbursement are also key responsibilities. COVID-19 vaccination is optional but strongly encouraged.
