The Co-responder Program is a collaborative service of Claratel Behavioral Health and the local Police Department, designed to respond to individuals experiencing behavioral health crises (mental health and/or substance use issues). The program aims to provide crisis intervention services in the community, connect individuals in crisis with community resources, reduce hospitalizations, and decrease arrests/incarceration for those in need of treatment. The Clinician will provide on-site clinical assessments in the field, crisis intervention, education, and support. They will also coordinate follow-up services and connect individuals and families to resources. The clinician evaluates an individual's safety risk to themselves or others, determines the need for involuntary admission, and completes necessary legal documentation (1013 or 2013) as per their licensure level. Additionally, the Clinician will conduct homeless outreach, community engagement, and collaborate with community partners. Supervision will be provided by the program manager.
