Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Health, Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Human Services, Sociology, or another qualifying social science field
- Minimum six (6) months of experience in behavioral health, substance use treatment, or mental health
- Strong communication and clinical documentation skills
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Knowledge of co-occurring disorders and evidence-based treatment practices
- Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) Certification—or ability to obtain certification within 12 months of hire
- Valid Florida Driver License (if transportation duties are assigned)
Nice To Haves
- Two (2) years of behavioral health or addiction counseling experience
- Experience treating co-occurring disorders
- Residential treatment experience
- Experience in community behavioral health settings
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and biopsychosocial evaluations
- Develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide individual, family, and group counseling
- Facilitate recovery-focused therapeutic interventions
- Complete clinical documentation in accordance with Florida Administrative Code and agency standards
- Collaborate with case managers, medical providers, and multidisciplinary treatment teams
- Respond to crisis situations and develop client safety plans
- Coordinate referrals and community resources
- Monitor client progress and update treatment plans
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and professional ethical standards
- Participate in clinical supervision, staff meetings, and ongoing training
