About The Position

The Division of Audiology at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) invites applications for a full-time faculty Audiologist (Instructor level) to join our nationally recognized academic medical center. This position offers the opportunity to practice at the top of your license within a collaborative, physician-integrated environment while contributing to clinical education and research. This full-time faculty position includes comprehensive adult audiologic care across outpatient and inpatient settings. The Audiologist will primarily practice in our downtown Charleston location with responsibilities at one satellite clinic.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) from an accredited institution
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-A)
  • South Carolina Audiology Licensure (or eligibility)
  • Minimum 1 year of clinical experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Comprehensive vestibular assessment including but not limited to VNG, Rotary Chair, Posturography, VEMP, vHIT
  • Comprehensive diagnostic audiologic evaluations
  • Amplification selection, fitting, and management
  • Osseointegrated device evaluation and programming
  • Inpatient and outpatient diagnostic testing in coordination with ENT physicians
  • Supervise 4th-year Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) students
  • Provide instruction to Otolaryngology residents and interns
  • Deliver lectures to residents and house staff as assigned
  • Participate in Audiology seminars and departmental conferences
  • Contribute to or collaborate in ongoing clinical research
