About The Position

In this position, you will oversee activities relating to Investigational Products, ensuring every stage is delivered to the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance. Working within a collaborative and innovative environment, you will ensure all processes align with ICH Good Clinical Practice, ethically approved protocols, UniSC Clinical Trials Standard Operating Procedures, and all relevant regulations, legislation, and guidance. Please note, this role requires flexibility to travel to different clinical trial sites, and to work outside standard business hours to support confinement studies and other time-sensitive trial activities. You may also be required to participate in a 24/7 on-call or confinement roster.

Requirements

  • Completion of a degree qualification in Health Science/Bio-Medical Science or a certificate level qualification with post certificate relevant pharmacy work experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience, education, and training;
  • Knowledge of ICH Good Clinical Practice and applicable pharmacy operating regulations, and guidance;
  • Exercise sound judgement, take initiative and solve problems, as required;
  • Strong computer literacy including proficiency with the Microsoft suite of tools and experience with software programs including databases;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team;
  • Attendance at required meetings, site initiation meetings and training sessions as appropriate;

Nice To Haves

  • Previous pharmacy experience highly regarded
  • Prior experience within a clinical research environment is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Support the Pharmacy Manager with the management, storage and dispensing of Investigational Products (IP) within the UniSC Clinical Trials (UniSC CT) Pharmacy in accordance with a Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC) approved protocol and Pharmacy manual, and other applicable guidelines and policies; and
  • Work collaboratively with the UniSC CT team, sponsors and monitors to ensure appropriate and timely management of all activities related to Investigational Product.
