About The Position

Join our team at Missoula Bone & Joint and Surgery Center as an OA Clinical Assistant and play a vital role in delivering high-quality orthopedic care to our patients. In this hands-on clinical position, you will work closely with physicians and providers to support patient care throughout their visit, ensuring a smooth, efficient, and compassionate experience from start to finish. This role includes both direct provider support and assisting the OA team with room stocking and autoclaving. This onsite opportunity allows you to be part of a collaborative clinical team in our modern Missoula, MT facility. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Current CPR/BLS certification
  • Minimum of one year of clinical experience
  • Strong written, verbal, and telephone communication skills in English
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team while providing excellent patient care
  • Commitment to accuracy, timeliness, organization, and professionalism

Nice To Haves

  • CMA, RMA, EMT, ATC, CNA, or other relevant healthcare certification
  • Current state license or certification, if applicable
  • Completion of a nursing assistant program with State of Montana certification
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field may be considered
  • Computer literacy and electronic medical record experience
  • Orthopedic or specialty clinic experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Preparing exam rooms
  • Stocking supplies
  • Sterilizing instruments
  • Ensuring the clinic is ready for patients
  • Rooming patients
  • Obtaining vital signs and weights
  • Assisting with changing for exams
  • Supporting patients with mobility or toileting needs
  • Assisting with referrals, paperwork, disability and FMLA forms, X-ray orders
  • Coordinating urgent care patients
  • Communicating with providers and schedulers
  • Ensuring patients receive timely care
  • Maintaining a clean, safe environment
  • Cleaning exam rooms
  • Managing medical equipment
  • Following infection control and safety guidelines
