About The Position

Johnson & Johnson is hiring for a Clinical Training Associate for Shockwave Medical Inc. located in New Brighton, MN. This is a two-year program designed to provide development for a career in the medical device industry. The CTA will learn from sales and marketing talent and, upon successful completion, will be positioned to interview for roles with greater responsibility, such as a Field Clinical Specialist. This opportunity may require additional relocation. The role involves supporting the development, logistics, and execution of marketing, training, and education programs under the Associate Director, Sales Training. The CTA will progressively handle more responsibilities, starting with completing new hire training and onboarding. Additional duties may include supporting conferences, providing event support, delivering product demonstrations, building training content, and offering customer case support.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Minimum overall cumulative GPA of 3.0 based upon 4.0 scale is required.
  • Must have strong track record of academic and other demonstrated leadership and/or participation in campus/community service activities.
  • Must be a team player, results-driven and solution-oriented.
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Up to 50% travel, depending on business needs.
  • Ability and willingness to travel within the United States for multiple weeks at a time is required.
  • A valid driver's license issued in the United States and must successfully complete a background investigation, to include a review of your driving record history.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Sales, Engineering, Life Science or Business academic major is preferred.
  • Experience or education in sales, marketing, and life sciences or completion of school-sponsored selling skills program is preferred.
  • Experience in retail or other sales environment would be helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Complete onboarding and new hire clinical and product training. Learn and manage all relevant systems, including Allego.
  • Support product, disease state and clinical skills-based training programs for the field sales organization in alignment with goals and strategies.
  • Support the execution of in-person, virtual, and/or hybrid product training programs for new hires and tenured employees.
  • Collaborate with and support product marketing team to create, launch, and evaluate effectiveness of appropriate content for field sales force.
  • Establish and develop key internal and external relationships, including cross functional teams, field teams and thought leaders.
  • Collaborate and partner with sales and marketing teams and leadership to continually identify new trends and needs.
  • Support Key Customer Visits as directed by Medical Education team.
  • Deliver product demonstrations, in-services, and value propositions.
  • Attend and provide booth support for customers at local and national conferences, as needed by the events team and field sales organization.
  • Attend, observe and support physician customers in procedures as directed by your manager and to assist the field sales organization.
  • Backfill vacant territories as assigned.
