About The Position

The Clinical Trainer will participate in the development and delivery of clinical and non-clinical training programs that enhance employee skills and knowledge. This role will support the overall performance of operations through ongoing training and development designed to drive the efficacy and high-quality performance of each department.

Requirements

  • Current RN / Social Work License.
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in training, staff development, or education within a healthcare or managed care environment
  • Minimum of three (3) years of clinical experience in care management, utilization management, case management, or related field
  • Exceptional facilitation, presentation, and communication skills
  • Ability to develop clear, engaging, and effective training materials
  • Collaborative, flexible, and skilled at managing multiple priorities in a demanding environment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and motivate adult learners.

Responsibilities

  • Participates in the development of training programs and materials tailored to meet the needs of clinical and non-clinical staff
  • Identifies training audience and coordinates training via outlook invites
  • Demonstrates exceptional classroom facilitation skills and incorporates adult learning principals into training delivery
  • Uses facilitator's guide, notes, and other training material as a guide rather than a script
  • Creates a safe and respectful learning environment where participants feel comfortable participating and sharing their thoughts and concerns
  • Tailors the delivery of material to meet differing needs, interests, and experience levels among participants; can adjust training accordingly
  • Guides discussions to stay on topic and ensure that learning objectives are being addressed
  • Actively involves all participants, using a variety of closed, open, high gain and second level questions, to engage participants
  • Actively seeks evidence of audience engagement and comprehension and provides coaching in the moment, as necessary
  • Identifies and addresses any issues among participants that could hinder the learning process
  • Utilizes conflict resolution skills when necessary to maintain a positive learning environment
  • Maintains control over the learning environment by managing challenging participants, minimizing distractions, utilizing the handling objections model, and monitoring the pace of the class.
  • Supports the evaluation of training delivery and outcomes by administering post training surveys
  • Gathers feedback to evaluate training effectiveness and make improvements
  • Maintains detailed records of training activities, participant progress, and completion rates
  • Provides reports to management on the impact of training programs.
  • Stays updated on the latest trends and best practices in learning and development to enhance future training programs
  • Continually looks for areas of improvement to support learning outcomes and provides recommendations to improve learning outcomes and/or mitigate potential risks
  • Participates in special projects as assigned
