About The Position

The Staff Therapist is part of the Tulane University Campus Health team of committed professionals dedicated to supporting and promoting student health and wellbeing as a core institutional value through a multidisciplinary, comprehensive approach. This position resides within the Counseling Center, and reports to Assistant Director. This position is responsible for delivering clinical services and participating in outreach activities. As a member of the Counseling Center, the Staff Therapist provides student mental health services, including urgent walk-in assessments, consultations, individual psychotherapy, group therapy and workshops. This position also participates in designing and delivering outreach programs to students, as well as developing materials and presentations on topics pertinent to various University constituencies. The Staff Therapist is responsible for a specified area of coordination or advocacy or serve as a liaison to departments or groups on campus as assigned by the Counseling Center leadership. Activities such as data collection and analysis, as well as program coordination, may also be pursued at times. This position participates regularly in Campus Health, therapist team, and Counseling Center staff meetings and trainings.
