About The Position

The Clinical Therapist is responsible for providing face-to-face diagnostic assessments, as well as individual and group therapy and case management services for clients. This role will utilize basic clinical interventions to support client efforts toward sobriety, coping with symptoms of depression and anxiety, safe lifestyle, healthy socialization, suicide prevention, occupational and academic success, individual and family restoration, and overall wellbeing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in counseling, social or related behavioral health field.
  • An active license to practice as a Social Worker/Counselor in Ohio (LSW, LISW, LISW-S, LPC, LPCC-S, PC, PCC, or PCC-S).
  • Two years or more experience working with the behavioral health or Substance Use Disorder patient population.
  • Knowledge of multiple clinical modalities, theory and principles of human behavior, social work theory and practice.
  • Must be certified within 90 days of starting the position on First Aid, CPR, and De-escalation Training.
  • Must maintain a current and valid Ohio or Michigan driver’s license, a good driving record, adequate insurance and be willing to use personal car to perform job duties.
  • Computer skills including Excel capabilities with ability to create reports.
  • Strong organizational, time management, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Impeccable integrity, judgement, and professionalism.
  • Must be analytical and solutions-oriented.
  • Ability to work well in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.
  • Must have current CPR certification.
  • Active Ohio Medicaid number.

Responsibilities

  • Proficient use of DSM-5 to provide diagnostic assessments for adults, teens, and children.
  • Provides individual, group, and family psychotherapy interventions.
  • Provides client visits in agency office, as well as in community at local agencies, schools, facilities, and private homes.
  • Maintains complete and current clinical records regarding all persons served.
  • Consistently meets productivity goals.
  • Provides effective and efficient management of caseload, including regular review of case files to ensure on-going audit-ready status.
  • Acquire knowledge and maintain current contact and referral information of community resources to address client needs for support of sobriety and mental stability, food, clothing, housing, financial assistance, inpatient referrals, medical care, and safety.
  • Enters clinical documentation in the EHR system in the appropriate format and submits all documentation according to Policies & Procedures Manual.
  • Perform job duties in a manner that’s friendly, considerate, and aligned with the agency’s Mission, Vision, Patient Care Philosophy, Professional Standards and Ethical Conduct.
  • All other duties as assigned.
