About The Position

The Clinical Therapist (Residential Day Treatment) position is a full-time role located in California, KY. This role involves providing comprehensive therapeutic services to clients within a residential day treatment program. The therapist will be responsible for client intake, developing and implementing individual treatment plans, conducting individual, group, and family therapy, and coordinating with external agencies and family members. The position also requires maintaining accurate documentation, participating in crisis intervention, and acting as a liaison with community resources. A strong commitment to cultural sensitivity and respect for diversity is essential.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Must hold and maintain active Kentucky licensure (LPCA, LPCC, LCSW, CSW, or LMFT).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with children and/or families.
  • Excellent written and oral skills.
  • Ability to lead a multi-disciplinary team and liaison with community resources.
  • Proficiency in DSM-V and a wide range of therapeutic techniques.
  • Proficiency in Word/Computer systems.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be able to drive a 12-passenger van.

Responsibilities

  • Completes intake for new clients entering the residential program.
  • Coordinates the development and ongoing implementation of each client’s individual treatment plan.
  • Provides all necessary individual, group, and family treatment as indicated by the treatment needs of the client.
  • Evaluates clients’ progress on treatment goals and objectives in conjunction with the treatment team, client, and family.
  • Chairs initial and quarterly treatment plan meetings.
  • Coordinates discharge planning as an ongoing process of treatment.
  • Maintains regular contact with Department for Community Based Services (DCBS) workers and others involved in the client’s treatment, including client’s family and significant others, as dictated by the treatment plan and regulations.
  • Provides family therapy when indicated.
  • Responsible for assessing, developing, and evaluating client goals and objectives.
  • Completes documentation, including individual and group therapy notes, monthly and quarterly summaries, treatment plans, and assessment forms within regulatory guidelines and time frames.
  • Assumes a leadership role in the cottage treatment team in assuring that each client’s treatment, care, and safety needs are being met.
  • Provides referral and linkage to other community resources to ensure that treatment goals are met.
  • Acts as a liaison between Holly Hill and those community resources.
  • Assists in any crisis intervention efforts to maintain the safety of the clients, including participating in physical management of clients when necessary.
  • Maintains on-call responsibilities for crisis intervention and clinical direction as needed.
