Maryhurst's residential programs, community-based homes, and outpatient clinical programs serve children in need. The residential programs aim to break the cycle of abuse by restoring hope and transitioning children to permanent, community, or family-based settings. Community and transitional living programs provide tools for survivors of abuse and neglect to build better futures. The Maryhurst Renewal team supports children, adults, and families through one-on-one, group, and family counseling in various settings, clearing barriers to success at home, school, and in the community. The Clinical Therapist is responsible for leading the treatment process for their client caseload, facilitating and supervising treatment planning, and completing all clinical documentation within specified timeframes. They act as a liaison for the child, family, and outside agencies, providing direct services such as weekly individual and group therapy, as well as family therapy. The Clinical Therapist interfaces with community resources like legal and medical systems and coordinates services within the Maryhurst system for clients. They ensure timely development and monthly evaluation/updates of treatment plans, and complete documentation necessary for service reimbursement accurately and promptly. The role also involves ensuring appropriate transfer/termination planning, including referrals and recommendations for ongoing services. Applicants must be willing and able to perform "Safe Crisis Management," a technique for restraining or transporting residents who have temporarily lost control of their behavior. Maryhurst provides extensive training for employees with direct client contact.
