About The Position

We are seeking a full-time Clinical Therapist for our Full-Service Partnership (FSP) Program, at our Balboa site in Northridge, to provide Intensive in-home/community-based services to high-risk youth and their families. Requirements

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English required.
  • Experience working with children and adolescents with intensive needs.
  • Strong assessment and clinical judgment skills.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based child and family interventions relevant to families served in the community mental health settings.
  • Ability to develop reasonable, appropriate treatment plans and clinical programs to meet the needs of the clients.
  • Ph.D., Psy.D., MSW, or MA/MS with an emphasis on marriage and family therapy. Must be eligible to register with the Board of Psychology or Board of Behavioral Sciences.

Responsibilities

  • Provide intensive, community-based mental health services to children and families as part of a multidisciplinary Full Service Partnership (FSP) team.
  • Conduct intakes and comprehensive clinical assessments, including diagnosis, and develop and implement individualized, strength-based treatment plans.
  • Actively engage caregivers and natural supports in treatment, identifying and addressing barriers to participation.
  • Participate in Child and Family Team (CFT) meetings and collaborate with internal team members (e.g., case managers, rehab staff, psychiatry) and external partners including schools, DMH, DCFS, and other service providers.
  • Deliver individual, family, and group therapy in home, school, office, and other community settings, with a strong emphasis on accessibility and engagement.
  • Provide crisis intervention for assigned caseload, including 24/7 availability Monday through Friday, and participate in a rotating on-call schedule (1–2 weekends per month) to support crisis response for all FSP clients. Includes real-time risk assessment, safety planning, and coordination of psychiatric hospitalization when clinically indicated.
  • Maintain timely, audit-ready documentation in accordance with program, DMH, and billing requirements, including progress notes, treatment plans, and outcome measures.
  • Manage a high-acuity caseload and adapt service delivery to meet complex and evolving client needs.
  • Full-time position (40 hours per week). Schedule is flexible and includes community-based work, evenings, and participation in on-call rotation.
