About The Position

The Clinical Therapist (CT) 1-Outpatient conducts clinical services, participates in case management, discharge planning, and intervenes in high-risk situations. The CT 1-Outpatient complies with all legal and regulatory reporting requirements, interventions, documentation and referrals. The CT 1-Outpatient collaborates with the treatment team, collateral contacts and community agencies to deliver the highest quality patient care services. The CT 1-Outpatient works within the scope of designated Board registration, and preceptors practicum students within scope of education and training. Performs other duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Completion of a master's degree in social work, marriage family therapy, counseling related field or completion of a doctoral degree in clinical psychology from a regionally accepted accredited institution
  • Knowledge of psychotherapy theory and techniques
  • Able to identify need for supervision/consultation, utilize such appropriately, and accept direction
  • Able to read; write legibly; speak in English (and Spanish preferred) with professional quality
  • Use computer and software programs necessary to the position
  • Troubleshoot and calibrate patient care equipment
  • Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others
  • Be assertive and consistent in following and/or enforcing policies
  • Work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure
  • Defuse aggravated situations with patients and families
  • Lead, supervise, teach, and collaborate

Nice To Haves

  • One year of experience in a behavioral health care setting
  • One year of experience in an acute psychiatric facility with age specific population
  • Spanish language proficiency
  • Registration as an ACSW, MFT intern, LPCC intern, or in the process of accruing post-doctoral hours working toward licensure as a psychologist
