About The Position

The Testing Psychologist provides comprehensive psychological and/or neuropsychological evaluation services for clients receiving behavioral health services through Key Point Health Services. The contractor conducts standardized testing, diagnostic clarification, and integrated psychological reports to support treatment planning and clinical decision-making. This role operates as an independent contractor and is responsible for maintaining licensure, professional standards, and compliance with all applicable federal, state, and organizational regulations.

Requirements

  • Doctoral degree in Psychology (PhD or PsyD) from an accredited program.
  • Active Maryland Psychologist License in good standing or PSYPACT authorized.
  • Experience conducting psychological and/or neuropsychological assessments.
  • Experience administering standardized psychological testing instruments.
  • Experience preparing integrated psychological evaluation reports.
  • 3+ years of experience in psychological assessments with children, adolescents, or adults
  • Familiarity with evaluating complex behavioral health needs (e.g., ASD ADHD, mood disorders, anxiety, trauma)
  • Expertise in psychological and psychoeducational assessment tools (e.g., BASC, Conners, ADOS, WAIS, WISC)
  • Effective therapeutic communication skills
  • Proficiency with telehealth platforms and remote testing tools
  • Experience conducting testing virtually
  • Knowledge of ethical standards and professional guidelines for psychological testing.
  • Excellent written documentation and report writing skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex clinical findings to clients, families, and treatment teams.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and comply with privacy regulations.
  • Maintaining professional liability insurance (minimum $1M/$3M coverage)
  • Maintaining any additional required insurance coverage
  • Managing all federal, state, and local tax obligations
  • Maintaining professional licensure and continuing education requirements

  • Must have experience in working with and the ability to relate to the populations to which they are credentialed to work (i.e., Children, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics).
  • Possess knowledge of psychiatric diagnoses as defined by the American Psychiatric Association, routine and emergency evaluation and assessment, human development, individual therapy, group therapy, and family therapy.
  • Demonstrate competency in procedures regarding medical treatment, medication management, laboratory tests, and other medical practices and procedures that are or may become relevant to the psychiatric needs of the patient population.
  • Demonstrate the ability to function on an interdisciplinary treatment team through excellent written, interpersonal, and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrate an understanding and sensitivity to serving a culturally diverse and/or special needs population while respecting patient confidentiality.
  • Adhere to the ethics of their respective profession.
  • Must be a licensed physician in the State of Maryland.
  • Must have a CDS/DEA license or eligible to obtain.
  • Maintain Board Eligibility or Board Certifications and all applicable licensures.
  • Possesses minimum experience as required by the privileging process.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological and/or neuropsychological evaluations.
  • Administer, score, and interpret standardized psychological tests.
  • Maintain test security and adhere to publisher requirements for psychological assessment instruments.
  • Provide diagnostic clarification and clinical recommendations based on testing results.
  • Deliver feedback sessions to clients and/or caregivers regarding evaluation findings.
  • Collaborate with treatment teams to integrate testing results into treatment planning when possible.
  • Complete intake/assessment initiation documentation within 24–48 hours.
  • Document testing completion within 3–5 business days.
  • Prepare integrated psychological evaluation reports within 10–14 business days or agency standard.
  • Document feedback sessions within 48 hours.
  • Ensure all services and assessment recommendations are documented in accordance with KPHS policies and uploaded into the electronic health record (EHR).
  • Participate in chart audits and promptly address documentation deficiencies.
  • Participate in case reviews, quality assurance activities, and clinical consultations as requested.
  • Adhere to agency policies, professional standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain a schedule that supports client access and continuity of care.
  • Follow organizational scheduling policies, including appointment availability and designated documentation time.
  • Provide advance notice of changes to availability whenever possible.
