Clinical Technician 1 - Rehab Unit
About The Position
Inova Mount Vernon Hospital’s Rehab Nursing unit is seeking a Clinical Technician to provide direct patient care under the direct supervision of registered nurses. The technician communicates effectively with team members, patients, and visitors and maintains professionalism and integrity throughout the healthcare system. Additional duties may be assigned. The role is part-time, with a day schedule of 7:00 AM–7:30 PM on rotating days, weekends, and holidays. The first week requires a Monday–Friday schedule regardless of the position’s regular schedule. Training includes six classroom-style sessions in Falls Church, Virginia (8:00 AM–4:30 PM), one virtual orientation day (9:00 AM–4:30 PM), and one virtual EPIC training session (8:00 AM–4:30 PM). Training dates are preset and non-negotiable. Current Inova Clinical Technicians and rehires returning within one year are exempt from the Clinical Technician Academy.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association, or ability to obtain it within 90 days of hire.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 35 pounds.
