Clinical Technician 2 Progressive Care Unit
About The Position
Inova Loudoun Hospital is looking for a dedicated Clinical Technician 2 to join our team in the Progressive Care Unit. This role will be full-time night shift, 7pm – 7:30am. Days vary each 6-week schedule period. Candidates Must be able to work any weekday when scheduled, rotating weekends. Candidates must be able to attend a paid 6-week training period at start of role, attending an initial Monday-Friday training schedule. Requirements
- 1-year acute care experience as a Clinical Tech or clinical rotation with an accredited nursing program and/or 2 years of nursing school
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- BLS within 90 days of hire.
- Proficient in English. Verbal and written communication skills required.
Nice To Haves
- Clinical Technician experience in a similar unit/facility preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provides direct care to patients whose care requirements are routine and standardized, with predictable outcomes, under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse
- Effectively communicates with health team members, patients and families; and works cooperatively with others.
- Assists unit leadership with overseeing other unit Clinical Technician education records.
- Has respect for and an understanding of other clinical disciplines.
- Maintains competencies and seeks opportunities to develop professionally.
- Identifies own learning needs based on self-evaluation and the progress made from the previous year's goals.
- Assumes responsibility for self-development in life-long learning and seeks opportunities to further increase practice knowledge.
- Performs phlebotomy, starting and removing IV’s, and other clinical skills, which will be included in initial 6-weeks of training.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
