About The Position

Inova Loudoun Hospital is looking for a dedicated and experienced Clinical Technician to join the Emergency Department Team. This role will be full time night shift; Monday – Friday, rotating weekends, 7pm - 7.30am. Inova is consistently ranked a national healthcare leader in safety, quality and patient experience. Requirements

• Certification - Basic Life Support within 3 Months; Heart Saver for employees hired prior to April 22, 2019
• Experience - 1 year of acute care experience as a Clinical Tech or clinical rotation with an accredited nursing program and/or 2 years of nursing school
• Education - High School diploma or equivalent

• Serves as a unit preceptor and superuser for all new Clinical Technicians.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct care to patients whose care requirements are routine and standardized, with predictable outcomes, under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse
• Effectively communicates with health team members, patients and families; Communicates effectively and works cooperatively with others.
• Assists unit leadership with overseeing other unit Clinical Technician education records.
• Has respect for and an understanding of other clinical disciplines.
• Maintains competencies and seeks opportunities to develop professionally.
• Identifies own learning needs based on self-evaluation and the progress made from the previous year's goals.
• Assumes responsibility for self-development in life long learning and seeks opportunities to further increase practice knowledge.
• May perform additional duties as assigned.
