About The Position

Inova Alexandria Hospital's Medical Unit is seeking a dedicated Clinical Technician 1 to join their team. This role involves providing direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse, maintaining professionalism, and effectively communicating with patients, visitors, and team members. The position requires availability for a comprehensive six-week paid training program, including virtual orientations, classroom sessions, online modules, and on-unit shifts. Additional duties may be assigned.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent.
Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association, or obtain within 90 days of hire
Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English
Ability to lift minimum of 35lbs pounds

Responsibilities

Provides direct care to patients under direct supervision of registered nurse.
Effectively communicates with team members, patients, and visitors.
Maintains professionalism and integrity throughout the healthcare system.
Must be available for six (6) non-consecutive weeks of paid training, consisting of: Virtual orientations (Two from 8AM -4:30PM), Classroom-style sessions: 8AM – 4:30PM (6 shifts total), Virtual training modules, On-unit shifts
May perform additional duties as assigned
