Clinical Technician 1 – Stroke Unit
About The Position
Inova Fairfax Hospital’s Stroke Unit is seeking a dedicated Clinical Technician 1. This full-time position works nights from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM, on varying days, with rotating weekends and holidays. The Clinical Technician 1 provides direct patient care under the direct supervision of a registered nurse and communicates effectively with team members, patients, and visitors while maintaining professionalism and integrity throughout the healthcare system. The role requires availability for six non-consecutive weeks of paid training, which includes two virtual orientation sessions from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, six classroom-style shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, virtual training modules, and on-unit shifts. Additional duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association, or ability to obtain it within 90 days of hire.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 35 pounds.
- Availability for six non-consecutive weeks of paid training.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct care to patients under the direct supervision of a registered nurse.

- Maintain professionalism and integrity throughout the healthcare system.
- Attend six non-consecutive weeks of paid training, including virtual orientations, classroom sessions, virtual modules, and on-unit shifts.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
