About The Position

Inova Alexandria Hospital's Ortho Surgery Unit is seeking a dedicated Clinical Technician 1 to join their team. This role involves providing direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse, maintaining professionalism, and effective communication. The position requires availability for a six-week paid training period, including virtual orientations, classroom sessions, virtual modules, and on-unit shifts. Additional duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association, or obtain within 90 days of hire
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English
• Ability to lift minimum of 35lbs pounds

Responsibilities

• Provides direct care to patients under direct supervision of registered nurse.
• Effectively communicates with team members, patients, and visitors.
• Maintains professionalism and integrity throughout the healthcare system.
• Must be available for six (6) non-consecutive weeks of paid training, consisting of: Virtual orientations (Two from 8AM -4:30PM), Classroom-style sessions: 8AM – 4:30PM (6 shifts total), Virtual training modules, On-unit shifts
• May perform additional duties as assigned
