About The Position

The Clinical Team Lead provides clinical direction to the treatment team, coordinates team admissions and discharges, oversees coordination and limited accountability for the team’s clinical billing standards, and provides treatment to children, adolescents, and their parents or guardians. Treatment may include individual and family sessions, family contact, and legal or school contact when necessary. The team lead determines treatment direction and the extent of contacts in consultation with the treatment team, while using independent clinical judgment and empowering and directing team members. The role includes completing treatment plans, progress notes, pre-certification paperwork, and other clinical documentation within required time limits; integrating assessment information into comprehensive treatment plans; maintaining consumer records; and ensuring documentation meets state, hospital, and The Joint Commission standards. The team lead meets their own billable-hour standard and coordinates and oversees paraprofessionals’ productivity and documentation. The role also involves building caseloads, coordinating admissions and discharges, discharge planning, referral contacts, and case management for patients waiting to enter the program. The Clinical Team Lead supports team-based care, develops positive relationships with patients and care partners, identifies opportunities to improve care and patient flow, and participates in employee and student orientation and supervision. The role includes educating teammates on applicable policies, procedures, care standards, billing and treatment regulations, and required certifications. The clinician has limited supervisory duties, provides guidance to non-licensed team members, and supervises undergraduate and graduate interns.
