Clinical Systems & AI Lead

MedMatchNovi, MI

About The Position

Make the EHR serve the people doing the work. This role involves managing day-to-day EHR configuration, task routing, templates, reporting, user onboarding, and role-appropriate access. The lead will also focus on improving referral intake, scheduling, documentation, orders, results, and follow-up workflows. This includes observing office and field work, patiently teaching users, maintaining clear procedures, and coordinating vendor escalations. A key aspect is measuring whether changes reduce rework, improve follow-through, and save staff time. Additionally, the role is responsible for leading pilot programs for AI and automation in areas such as documentation assistance, document handling, and communications, while evaluating privacy, clinical accuracy, and user experience before broader deployment. It's important to note that AI-generated clinical content will remain subject to clinician review and authentication, and automation must not independently make clinical decisions. The role requires using approved systems, documented permissions, and appropriate contractual/privacy safeguards. The individual will be the internal owner of clinical applications and workflow, coordinating with IT and vendor specialists for infrastructure, cybersecurity, and complex integrations. Practice leadership will set priorities and approvals, while clinical policy remains with licensed clinicians.

  • Demonstrated EHR administration or advanced super-user work: show what you personally configured, improved and taught.
  • Direct APRIMA experience is strongly preferred; comparable ambulatory EHR expertise is considered.

  • Calm troubleshooting, clear documentation, respectful teaching, discretion and completion of practical projects.
