About The Position

TMC Bonham Hospital is a 25-bed critical access hospital that includes both primary care and specialty physicians. The Critical Access Hospital, offering both inpatient and outpatient services along with 24-hour emergency services. The Critical Access Hospital (CAH) Program was established to assure access to healthcare services for rural residents. The program provides rural acute care hospitals with a range of opportunities for service enhancement and quality of care improvement. Quality healthcare and patient safety is our goal. TMC Bonham is managed by Texoma Medical Center, subsidiary of UHS. The basic purpose of nursing is to provide safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. Additionally, nursing will provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team. The concepts of Patient Centered Care will provide the foundation for all nursing care. Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times. The Standards of Practice set forth by the professional nursing associations will provide guidelines for the competent, safe and professional practice. The Clinical Supervisor will assume shift responsibility and accountability for the planning and provision of direct and indirect nursing care to the patient, family, care partner and appropriate others. Coordinate multi-disciplinary team members, direct and facilitate nursing staff in obtaining safe, optimal healthcare outcomes. Support activities that meet the facility vision, mission and goals. Provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team. Oversee and guide employees that are under his/her supervision.

Requirements

  • Current RN licensure in the State of Texas, or compact required
  • Two years experience in acute care MS nursing.
  • Must maintain all clinical competencies for area of supervision.
  • RQI BLS and ACLS with new hire orientation.
  • Must maintain all additional certifications required by area of supervision.
  • Must be clinically competent in area of population served.
  • Must demonstrate knowledge and ability to work effectively with all levels of personnel.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills and demonstrate team leadership.
  • Must have the ability to problem solve and think critically.
  • Must possess basic computer application skills.

Nice To Haves

  • BSN preferred
  • One year charge nurse or supervisory experience preferred
  • Clinical certification in area of supervision preferred (i.e. MSCRN etc.)
