About The Position

The Clinical Support Tech I assists the OR team by providing technical support and assisting the physician and/or RN. This role aids with patient positioning and prepping under the direction of the RN. Depending on the area, this role may also assist with the maintenance and care of technology and equipment, including but not limited to endoscopy, Robotics, Image guided (superdimensions), and video equipment. Assists with patient transfers using proper body mechanics and protocols. Prepares equipment and specialty items for procedures according to preference cards. Responsible for communicating pertinent information to the RN. Additional functions include general cleaning, equipment cleaning, gathering equipment, specimen transport, room turnover, and assisting the OR team with patient care (positioning and prepping). Performs other duties as assigned. May function in the role of Operating Room Assistant as needed.

Requirements

  • Assists surgical techs/RNs in opening sterile supplies to the back table when directed.
  • Will be responsible for the 360 degree flips for anterior/posterior spinal fusion cases including gathering all needed equipment and safety devices needed.
