About The Position

The Clinical Support Staff Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily activities of clinical support staff across all ACHS locations. This role ensures efficient workflows, optimal patient experience, and compliance with organizational standards, while fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. The manager serves as a key liaison between clinical leadership and support staff, driving operational excellence and staff development.

Requirements

  • Provide direct supervision, task delegation, mentorship, performance management, and disciplinary action for clinical support staff (e.g., front-line clinical personnel primarily working in direct patient care / provider support roles).
  • Take primary responsibility for hiring, orientation, mentorship, and staff development for clinical support staff, with support from the Senior Manager of Clinical Services and the Care Management and Education Nurse Team.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with clinical staff, management, and other stakeholders.
  • Develop staffing schedules to ensure adequate coverage and efficient patient flow.
  • Monitor Staffing Levels and make real-time scheduling adjustments as needed. Serve as the primary contact for clinical support staff for call-outs and last-minute scheduling needs.
  • Monitor time sheets, attendance and staffing plans and approve schedule adjustments as needed.
  • Collaborate with clinical leadership to develop and implement staffing models that assure the appropriate staffing levels for the sites.
  • Collaborate with clinical leadership on the development, implementation and monitoring of clinical workflows to align with ACHS policies and quality standards.
  • Ensure adherence to infection control protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage inventory and ordering or clinical equipment and supplies directly impacting patient care.
  • Maintenance and testing of emergency response equipment and supplies.
  • Oversight and maintenance of on-site laboratory services including equipment maintenance, inspection, quality controls and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage ACHS’s participation in the New Hampshire Immunization Program and overall vaccination program, including inventory, in collaboration with the Senior Manager of Clinical Services.
  • Create a professional and collaborative working environment that promotes teamwork, quality, exceptional outcomes, continuous improvement, reward and recognition, and patient safety.
  • Participate in quality initiatives including the ACO and Clinical Event Subcommittee as requested.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including flexible hours and placement at any ACHS site to support organizational needs.
