About The Position

Provides basic patient care and clerical support within an assigned area of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living, obtaining vital signs, and maintaining a safe, patient- and family-centered care environment. This is a part-time night-shift position scheduled Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. The role is designated as safety sensitive; current medical marijuana users are not eligible. Arkansas Children's is a tobacco-free workplace, and flu vaccination is required. Most new hires start between $15.00 and $18.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Flu vaccination is required.
• Must not be a current user of medical marijuana because the position is safety sensitive.

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience in a related field.
• One year of experience as a technician.
• Clinical experience as an Arkansas Children's employee or completion of a semester of healthcare curriculum.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification from the Arkansas Department of Long Term Care.

Responsibilities

• Complete and document patient care safely, efficiently, and in a timely manner.
• Recognize and report changes in patient condition to licensed staff.
• Demonstrate knowledge of emergency situations and respond appropriately.
• Maintain the patient chart or record.
• Perform clerical, receptionist, and support-service duties.
• Ensure an appropriate level of forms, supplies, and equipment.
• Use supplies cost-effectively.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
