About The Position

The Clinical Supervisor at the STARLight Center in Lancaster, OH, will provide direct supervision to assigned clinical staff, focusing on hiring, development, and leadership growth. This role emphasizes positive leadership, fostering a team-based environment, and representing the agency positively. The supervisor is responsible for the fiscal accountability of assigned programs, including budget development, documentation, billing, and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. They will develop project plans and logic models, adapt services to community needs, and ensure the integrity of program delivery and compliance with various standards (ODJFS, ODE, County, Council on Accreditation, EAGLE Accreditation, NAEYFS, SUTQ, State/County HMG, Medicaid, ODMH, etc.). The role involves developing therapeutic relationships with clients, providing individual, group, or family therapy, offering clinical consultation and crisis intervention, and conducting weekly group supervision/team meetings. Maintaining frequent contact with agency Care Managers or clients' parents, providing minor case management, and acting as an advocate for clients are also key responsibilities. The supervisor will participate in treatment conferences, provide in-service training, be available for on-call consultation and crisis management, and may assist with special events or projects. Flexibility and a willingness to take on new responsibilities are essential.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work or related training in Psychology or Counseling with an Ohio LISW-S or PCC-S required.
  • Must have a valid Ohio Driver’s License with a safe driving record and valid insurance.
  • Ability to take and pass a physical exam, tuberculosis test, and drug screening.
  • English reading and writing skills required.
  • Attention to detail and confidentiality required.
  • Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
  • Requires typing and computer literacy, including Windows applications, Microsoft Word and Excel, e-mail and basic database usage.
  • Strong oral and written skills necessary – public speaking skills and the ability to conduct training required.

Nice To Haves

  • Licensure in LISW-S or PCC-S with 3 years post independent license experience preferred.
  • Clinical experience with SED children required.
  • Funding sources may require OhioGuidestone to hire an advanced degree.

Responsibilities

  • Direct supervision of assigned Clinical staff, including hiring, supervision, and employee development.
  • Demonstrates and models positive leadership, promotes a team-based work environment.
  • Assures fiscal accountability of all assigned programs and services, including budget development and compliance.
  • Develops detailed project plans and Logic Models to monitor program goals and agency strategic initiatives.
  • Ensures the integrity of program and service delivery, compliance, and evaluation, adapting to changing standards.
  • Assumes a leadership role in the interpretation and support of agency policies and implementation of industry best practices.
  • Develops a therapeutic relationship with each client.
  • Provides individual, group or family therapy as needed.
  • Availability for clinical consultation and crisis intervention.
  • Plans, prepares for and provides group supervision/team meetings on a weekly basis.
  • Maintains on-going frequent contact with agency Care Manager or client’s parents.
  • Assumes a strong advocacy role for clients and makes recommendations for clinical and support services needed upon discharge.
  • Actively participates in all treatment conferences and meetings for the client.
  • Provides in-service training as requested.
  • On call by cell phone during non-work hours for clinical consultation and crisis management.
  • May be involved in the planning, organization, and implementation of special events or department specific projects or seasonal program changes.
