About The Position

The Licensed Clinical Supervisor manages pre-doctoral psychology assistants, practicum students, and associates. Is responsible for checking all documentation, communicating any corrections needed, and providing resources to the PsyD assistants/ students/associates, will be responsible for developing adequate training (i.e. Law & Ethics, Clinical Diagnosing, various therapeutic modalities, etc.) for supervisees as needed as well as providing oversight of all assessments that are administered. Requirements

  • Current California Licensure Marriage Family Therapy or equivalent (required)
  • Strong sense of diversity and inclusion for ALL clients.
  • Superb verbal and written communication skills.
  • Compassionate and empathetic with a strong ability to establish and build trust.
  • Excellent listening skills.
  • Thorough understanding of human behavior, various behavioral and affective disorders, and the diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of these disorders.
  • Organizational skills required to manage complex, deadline-driven paperwork.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, or related software.
  • Thorough understanding of applicable ethical codes and standards.

Nice To Haves

  • 1-2 years of clinical supervision experience (preferred)
  • Registered as a clinical supervisor

Responsibilities

  • Manages pre-doctoral psychology assistants, practicum students, and associates.
  • Checks all documentation, communicates any corrections needed, and provides resources to the PsyD assistants/ students/associates.
  • Develops adequate training (i.e. Law & Ethics, Clinical Diagnosing, various therapeutic modalities, etc.) for supervisees as needed.
  • Provides oversight of any assessments that are administered.
  • Provides individual and group clinical supervision to PsyD students/assistants/ associates, per Simple Solutions Psychotherapy requirements.
  • Provides oral and written feedback consistent with practicum program requirements.
  • Ensures the PsyD student/assistants/associates client caseload files are up to par with the organization's expectations.
  • Provides the supervisee with the information needed to correct/revise documentation following the expectations of the organization.
  • Holds communication with the PsyD student/associates to ensure all documentation is completed in expected time frames (notes 24 hours and revisions/corrections 48 hours).
  • Administers, interprets, and supervises appropriately chosen psychometric instruments and screenings (including psycho-educational, objective, and projective measures), writes reports, and provides recommendations and feedback to clients, families, and other clinicians (if applicable).
  • Reviews all SOAP notes, treatment plans, and mental status examinations submitted for each client within 72 hours of having received them.
  • Communicates with supervisees about corrections/revisions that are needed.
  • Ensures all corrections have been signed no later than 48 hours of them being returned.
  • Ensures all supervisees are adhering to the rules of submitting documentation within 24 hours after the session, and 48 hours after corrections/revisions have been sent.
  • Maintains compliance with ethical codes and standards.
