The person in this position will be responsible for providing direct clinical and treatment supervision and training to counseling staff. Essential job functions include managing the day-to-day functions of the program, providing daily supervision of counselors and other staff, monitoring adherence to policies and procedures, conducting monthly quality assurance reviews of treatment case files, facilitating groups, coordinating the development of treatment modules and training opportunities, evaluating program effectiveness, developing and monitoring case planning schedules, and filling in for counselors during their absence. The role also involves delivering individual and group counseling services, case management, education, community outreach, and referrals. Responsibilities include overseeing client intake and orientation, assessing psychological and social functioning, developing and reviewing treatment plans, assisting with data collection and reporting, maintaining relationships with agencies, facilitating ancillary services, supervising client treatment files, preparing client progress reports, and interacting with the criminal justice system. The position requires quarterly meetings with IDOC to implement Quality Improvement strategies and semiannual record system reviews. Participant files are made available to IDOC for quality management reviews, with confidentiality protected according to CFR 42, Part II and HIPAA regulations. The role requires embracing and embodying the mission, vision, guiding principles, clinical vision, and goals of WestCare Foundation, and performing any other assigned duties.
