About The Position

The Clinical Supervisor will provide nursing clinical/administrative oversight for the Emergency Department. He/she will be responsible for the direct provision of patient care and for the daily operations to include but not limited to coordination of patient care/outcomes, allocation of human and fiscal resources, communications, patient throughput, program development and oversight, patient, physician and employee rounding, selection, development and retention of staff, clinical supervision and performance appraisal, performance improvement activities, service recovery and compliance with regulatory agency requirements.

Requirements

• Five (5) years of nursing experience in a hospital setting required
• Three years Emergency Nursing care experience
• Three (3) years of progressive management or supervisory experience in a hospital setting
• Demonstrated clinical competency in the specialty area
• Current License in the NYS as a Registered Nurse required
• Graduated from an accredited School of Nursing required
• BLS & ACLS certification required

• Masters degree preferred
