The Clinical Supervisor, SUD Practice & Workforce Development is an enterprise-level clinical leader responsible for the supervision, performance management, and development of all SUDP and SUDT staff across the agency. This role owns the SUD workforce lifecycle, including recruitment partnership, onboarding, training, performance management, and retention. The position is accountable for building and sustaining a high-performing SUD workforce through the development and oversight of a structured SUDT-to-SUDP pipeline. As the agency’s subject matter expert in substance use disorder services, this role establishes and drives clinical practice standards, ensures consistency across programs, and partners with leadership to integrate SUD best practices into the culture of care. Reporting through Human Resources, this role bridges clinical leadership and workforce strategy, ensuring alignment between clinical expectations, staff performance, and organizational talent priorities

Requirements

  • Bachelors required, masters preferred
  • Active SUDP credential required
  • Minimum 3–5 years of SUD clinical experience
  • Prior supervisory or leadership experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to analyze complex data, interpret trends, and make strategic decisions
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment in sensitive and high-risk situations
  • Ability to work effectively in a behavioral health environment, including exposure to individuals experiencing emotional or behavioral crises
  • Ability to maintain professionalism, composure, and sound decision-making in high-pressure situations
  • Strong interpersonal skills to navigate complex employee, patient, and stakeholder interactions
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with diverse audiences, including staff, patients, community partners, and executive leadership
