About The Position

Functional Family Therapy (FFT) Clinical Supervisor Civitas Health Services, Inc. is a comprehensive behavioral healthcare organization serving children, adolescents, and adults throughout Virginia. We are licensed by the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services and accredited by The Joint Commission. We are seeking an experienced and driven Functional Family Therapy (FFT) Clinical Supervisor to provide clinical leadership, operational oversight, and staff development within our FFT program. The ideal candidate is a strong clinician, effective leader, and strategic thinker who understands that quality outcomes are achieved through accountability, teamwork, excellent communication, and a commitment to continuous improvement. This position requires a high level of emotional intelligence, sound clinical judgment, professionalism, and the ability to develop and support a high-performing team. At Civitas, we believe in investing in our people. Previous FFT experience is preferred but not required. Qualified candidates will receive employer-paid FFT training, consultation, and ongoing support through the Functional Family Therapy model.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related Human Services field.
  • Licensed Mental Health Professional (LMHP) or license-eligible status in Virginia (LPC, LMFT, LCSW, Resident, Supervisee, or equivalent).
  • Minimum of two years' experience working with children, adolescents, and families.
  • Ability and willingness to provide services in community and home-based settings.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

  • Previous supervisory experience preferred.
  • FFT experience preferred but not required.
  • Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee clinical fidelity to the FFT model.
  • Provide individual and group supervision to FFT clinicians and support staff.
  • Collect, analyze, and report program performance, authorizations, outcomes, and quality improvement data.
  • Ensure timely completion of documentation and adherence to company and FFT requirements.
  • Participate in and coordinate FFT consultation activities.
  • Review treatment plans and clinical documentation for quality and compliance.
  • Evaluate staff performance and support professional growth and development.
  • Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA-compliant clinical records.
  • Ensure program compliance with licensing, accreditation, payer, and organizational requirements.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with referral sources and community partners.
  • Monitor program outcomes and implement performance improvement strategies as needed.
  • Support operational efficiency, risk management, and service excellence initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
