About The Position

A Clinical Supervisor, BCBA will work under the Treatment Center Director and be responsible for implementing behavior intervention plans. The BCBA will be responsible for: Conducting initial assessment with the client to determine a treatment plan. Work collaboratively with families, educators, and other professionals to obtain better insight into the client's concerns. Conducting naturalistic observations of clients within individual and group settings. Creating simulated conditions where you will observe the behavior of each client. Formulating an appropriate treatment plan sensitive to clients' cognitive, social, emotional, and sensory needs. Administering treatment and tailoring intervention plans as needed. Suggesting additional treatment by other professionals, as required. Operating within time, financial, and other resource constraints, insofar as possible. Review and sign off on behavior plans, offer training to direct support staff, and provide field supervision when necessary. Remaining abreast of changes in research on evidence-based practices. Perform other duties as assigned. This position is a full-time salary, exempt position with benefits.

Requirements

  • A Master's degree, PsyD., or Ph.D. from an accredited college or university with a concentration in early childhood education/development, special education, psychology, or related field, with specialized knowledge of behavioral health and treatment philosophies and professional practices.
  • At least three years of related professional experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in a multidisciplinary team setting.
  • Knowledge of early childhood and autism assessment tools and procedures, and a thorough understanding of child development.
  • Experience developing positive behavior supports plans and programs; experience teaching social interaction and play skills.
  • Knowledge of current methods of technicians of applied behavior analysis and discrete trial training; ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with clients, parents, and professionals; competence in analyzing assessment results, designing appropriate individuals' treatment plans and behavioral programs, and monitoring progress.
  • Two or more years of experience providing staff direction and development in a supervisory role.
  • Excellent verbal and report writing skills.
  • Calm, empathic, and patient.
  • The ability to remain composed and adherent to best practices, even when under duress.
