About The Position

The University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center Department of Emergency Medicine is seeking motivated Research Assistants to work on medical research studies. The successful applicant should have good interpersonal skills, critical-thinking capabilities, and attention to detail. This position offers an opportunity to gain medical experience before pursuing a career in clinical medicine or research. The position works under the direction of a Research Manager or Coordinator.

Requirements

• Be enrolled in a degree-seeking program at the University of New Mexico.
• Be enrolled at least half-time (6 hours) at UNM during the fall and spring semesters; audit hours do not count.
• If participating in Work Study, meet Satisfactory Academic Progress.
• Have good interpersonal skills, critical-thinking capabilities, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Work on medical research studies under the direction of a Research Manager or Coordinator.
