About The Position

This position involves performing clinical work under the supervision of qualified Arkansas Children's (AC) personnel. The intern will be responsible for various tasks related to patient care, documentation, and research support within the Food Allergy General Research Account department. This role is designated as safety sensitive and requires adherence to all Arkansas Children's policies, including being a tobacco-free workplace and requiring flu vaccines. Applicants must not be current users of medical marijuana.

Responsibilities

  • Performs procedures directly supervised by qualified/licensed/registered AC team members.
  • Performs and ensures safe, knowledgeable age-specific clinical work appropriate for the department as needed.
  • Completes documentation of patient records and Quality Control processes as needed.
  • Provides patient education and responds to patient and customer concerns as needed.
  • May transport patients to other departments.
  • May provide assistance with holding/positioning patients as needed.
  • May prepare and clean exam rooms.
  • Provides comfort measures as needed.
  • Utilizes appropriate diagnostic equipment and software as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
