About The Position

Under the direction of the Directors of Clinical Standards and Professional Practice and in collaboration with Senior Leadership, the Clinical Standards team, operational and clinical experts, the Clinical Standards Specialist facilitates effective provincial clinical policy/ standard development and review. Through collaborative and cooperative partnerships with SHA teams, the Clinical Standards Specialist manages the process of clinical standardization. Skills that are key to this role include leadership, project management, organization, facilitation of diverse working groups, research and communication.

Requirements

  • Degree in administration, public policy, business or clinical discipline
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license
  • Advanced - Planning skills
  • Advanced - Organizational skills
  • Advanced - Written Communication Skills
  • Advanced - Computer skills
  • Advanced - Verbal communication skills
  • Facilitation skills
  • Advanced - Interpersonal skills
  • Working knowledge of SHA governance/org structure/relationships
  • Can maintain confidentiality including confidential information with discretion.
  • Requires proficiency with a variety of computer applications
  • Excellent proficiency in editing material for clarity, accuracy and conciseness
  • Ability to work collegially, collaboratively and build positive relationships
  • Ability to adapt to frequent change and work under pressure
  • Commitment to a diverse, representative workforce and cultural safety
  • Ability to be self-directed
  • Have high degree of initiative, ingenuity & can work with little/no supervision
